What are Swept Frames ?
These are one piece frames with moulded corners, generally produced in a selection of gilt finishes, but can be also supplied in base coat for custom painting in any colour.
Hand Made English Swept Frames 
We supply English swept picture frames, which are hand made to order. Every frame is individually prepared for each picture and should not be confused with ready-made swept frames manufactured in the Far East.
Swept Picture Frames - Materials
Generally swept picture frames have a decorative plaster finish on a wooden base. This traditional moulding is applied on top of the mitres, so the corner joints are not visible. Colour finishes include: Ivory with Gold highlights - Dark Antique - Medium Antique - Light Antique. Dutch Gold leaf and 23 carat gold leaf can also be supplied on request.
